It’s good news for Betway Limited as the company has been recognised for its excellence in customer data protection.
The online casino and sportsbook operator has been granted ISO 27001 certification by the UK’s eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) testing agency.
In a press release, the iGaming company described the designation as ‘the worldwide standard for information security.’ Betway holds licences in Malta, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. They described the designation as evidence of their ‘commitment to handling customer data safely and securely.’

Under the Betway tree are; Betway.com, HippodromeOnline.com, DreamBingo.com, SpinCasino.co.uk and BingoOnTheBox.com.
The company says that the certification will enable it to ‘tighten, improve and secure third-party supplier contracts and management for all those websites. In addition to this, it will make it easier for them to obtain licences in new jurisdictions.
CEO of Betway Limited, Anthony Werkman, said he was ‘delighted’ in an official statement. He added his company is ‘going above and beyond when it comes to protecting the security of our customers’ data.’
