Liverpool And City Win In Europe Ahead Of Huge PL Clash

Following Tuesday Champions League victories, both Liverpool and Manchester City prepare for their Premier League clash at the Etihad.

Liverpool earned a hard-fought 3 – 1 win away to Benfica with goals from Konaté, Mané and Días. Meanwhile City triumphed 1 – 0 over a dogged Atletico Madrid team at home.

The Premier League title race could not be more finely balanced. Liverpool are just one point behind City who have held onto first place until now.

On Sunday, a win would see Liverpool go two points ahead of City. As well as that, their goal difference is superior by 5. Obviously, they would need to win their remaining seven games, but it would put them in the driving seat.

Then, in 6 days, they play their second leg against Benfica before going to Wembley for the F.A Cup semi final. It’s a huge period for the Reds and if they come through it, they will have a better chance at the quadruple than any other team in history.
