The Carabao Cup may not be on top of anyone’s list of priorities. However, it’s still good for one of our favorite things about football: giant killings.
After Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out by Colchester United and West Ham were felled by Oxford, the odds for the competition have changed.
Those scalps for Colchester and Oxford have earned them a place among the bookies favorites to win, albeit at 500/1.
Both teams face easier propositions in the fourth round, with Oxford facing Sunderland and Colchester up against Crawley.

For the rest of the big Premier League teams, it was business as usual. Apart from Man UTD, who just about scraped past Rochdale on penalties. Manchester United are the sixth favourites to win the Carabao Cup at 12/1.
Arsenal, who’s young guns smashed Nottingham forest 5 – 0, are the fifth favourites at 10/1. However, considering they face second-favourites Liverpool at Anfield in the next round, they’re probably not advancing in the Carabao Cup.
Manchester City are obviously the favourites for the tournament at 6/4. They beat Preston 3 – 0 in the third round, five goals less than what they beat Watford by last weekend.
Chelsea romped to a 7 – 1 win over Grimsby Town on Wednesday night. Frank Lampard’s men are the third favourites to win the competition at 8/1. They face off against Manchester United in the next round.

The fact that Spurs are out and two of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea will be out come the next round is a boon for surprise joint-third favourites Leicester City.
Leicester are tipped for a successful season under Brendan Rodgers, and a cup win could be just the ticket. The Foxes beat Newcastle United on penalties to set up a fourth round tie with Burton.
