For the first time in a while, Arsenal are the clear favourites for a Premier League match at Old Trafford.
Arsenal face Manchester United in Manchester on Wednesday night to kick off their jam packed winter schedule.
Arsenal have the form and the momentum going in to this game. They’re unbeaten in 19 and are coming off an emphatic North London Derby victory.
Manchester United have been terrible all season. They currently sit 7th in the table, eight points behind Arsenal. Last weekend they had to come from two goals down to salvage a point away at Southampton. Southampton, remember, sacked their manager Mark Hughes after the game.

Besides all that, the Gunners simply look like the better team than United at the moment. The team look to have taken to Unai Emery, playing with more intensity and assertiveness than in past years.
Aubameyang, Lacazette, Xhaka and Bellerin have all moved to another level under the spaniard. Add to that new defensive midfielder Lucas Torriera’s contribution, and the North London side look like a formidable unit.
Manchester United, on the other hand, look like anything but a team. It’s textbook Jose Mourinho third season meltdown fare at Old Trafford.
The seemingly ever increasing insanity of Mourinho only becomes more pronounced with each bad result, each confrontational incident. From playing the most dour style of football possible, to publicly insulting his players, this meltdown has it all.
However, Arsenal’s record at Old Trafford is not encouraging. Of their last 11 league games there, they’ve lost 8 and drawn three. Barring a quarterfinal win in the F.A cup there in 2015, Old Trafford is not a happy hunting ground for the Gunners.
Paddy Power has this game at 7/5 for a home win, 5/2 for a draw, and 15/8 for an away win.
