The football-less lull between the end of the World Cup and the start of the season is over. This Saturday, the Premier League is back. With new players, managers, and promoted teams it’s shaping up to be an interesting season.

Arsenal VS Manchester City Sunday 4pm
Arsenal 23/10 – Draw 13/5 – City 10/11
On paper, this is the best-ever champions against a work in progress team. Manchester City are 10/11 favourites to come away from the Emirates with a win. However, not all is certain. The wonderful thing about Arsenal this year is that they have a clean slate. The Gunners haven’t had a new manager in over twenty years, and no one can predict how they will play.
Pep Guardiola’s City team are a stern proposition for the first game of the season. But at the start of a new era, the home crowd will be fired up and the players desperate to prove themselves. Arsenal could well pull one out of the hat here and put Manchester City to the sword.
Fulham VS Crystal Palace Saturday 3pm
Fulham 13/10 – Draw 23/10 – Crystal Palace 21/10
The cottagers will undoubtedly be a neutral’s favourite in the Premier League this year. Playing the attacking football that won them promotion, they will be entertaining if nothing else. As well as that, they have arguably done the best transfer business of any Premier League team. The likes of Jean Michel-Seri and Andre Schurrle have joined and will add serious quality to the team.
There is a wave of positivity around Fulham, which has led to them being named favorites for the season opener. It’s a tasty London derby against Crystal Palace, still under the steady stewardship of Roy Hodgson. Fulham are 13/10 favorites to win, while a draw is 23/10.

Liverpool VS West Ham Sunday 1pm
Liverpool 1/5 – Draw 9/2 – West Ham 10/1
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool face an era-defining 2018 – 2019 season. After blowing team after team away with their attack and making the Champions League final, this side must deliver. Klopp needs at least a trophy and a serious title challenge to build on the fine work he has done so far. Indeed, they are second favorites at 4/1 to win the league behind Manchester City.
They start the season against a new look West Ham side who have appointed Manuel Pellegrini as manager. They have added attacking flair to the side in the shape of Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson. Hammers fans will be looking for improvement after an underwhelming first season at the London Stadium. They are 10/1 underdogs to upset Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
