After just over a month of regular playing schedules, Premier League teams are back to playing three games a week.
We have a full round of Premier League fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday, with some difficult games for the top teams. Midweek Premier League games are notoriously difficult, and we are at a point of the season where every result matters.
The need to manage squad rotation and get a positive result makes life difficult for all teams involved. Both the title race and the relegation battle could look different at this time on Thursday.

On Tuesday night, Leicester play their first game in the wake of Claude Puel’s sacking. Interim boss Mike Stowell has challenged the team to get back into form for the season’s run in. After disappointing home results under Puel, foxes fans will want to see some kind of response. Leicester are 8/11 to get the win at home against Brighton.
Then on Wednesday night, the big boys get involved. In perhaps the game of the week, Chelsea play Tottenham at home.
It’s another big game for the Blues after their tense, sapping and controversial Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City. A poor result at home against a London rival could ignite chaos at a Chelsea team that’s always crackling away under the surface. Paddy Power has Chelsea at 6/5 to beat Spurs.

After their 0 – 0 draw on Sunday, both Manchester United and Liverpool have potentially tricky midweek games. UTD travel to London to take on Crystal Palace, who can give anyone a game on their day. They’re 13/10 to come away from Selhurst Park with a win.
Likewise, Liverpool need to be careful at home against Watford. Watford appear to be able to be a good team every year despite their high turnover of managers and players. They could well take advantage of a Liverpool team that hasn’t been firing on all cylinders of late. All the same, Klopp’s men are 1/4 to win at Anfield.
